School Band (Ghosh)

The Band (Ghosh) of SBM Sr. Sec. School was started from the very inception of the school. The students are taught to play different instruments such as Brass Drum, Side Drum, Bigul, Triangle and Cymbals etc. The band is divided into 5 groups, each containing 59 students. In addition to that a Bagpiper band including a group of 33 students is also in function separately. Each group of the band including Bagpiper band has its separate uniform. Each band group has a major (Head Boy) who commands the entire band. They are being trained twice a month. The Bagpiper band is trained to play different tunes like Saare Jahan Se Achchha Hindustan Hamara, Invention etc. The band of SBM has taken part in various ceremonies conducted by the District Authorities like Education Dept., Police Dept, and Election Dept. etc. The school band had participated on the first anniversary of District Panchsheel Nagar (Hapur) conducted by the District Administration, where it stood first among the dozen school bands of the district.
